20th   Monthly Challenge  These evenings are themed and link in with the themes for the Master Photographer competition at the end of the year.  This month’s theme is Architecture.

27th    COMPETITION  Round 1 of the monthly competitions to find the photographer of the year. This round is for PDIs and is judged by Ian Bateman from Exmouth CC.

4th      Members Projects  An opportunity for a few members to show the club what they have been up to. They don’t have to be finished projects and can be work in progress.

11th    SPEAKER  Paul Mitchell – Paul is a professional Landscape Photographer, just have a look at his website www.paulmitchellphotography.co.uk  to see his beautiful work. 1st       PAGB lecture  We have access to a great range of lectures produced by PAGB

8th      SPEAKER  Josephine Collingwood  The Making of the Dartmoor Tors Compendium   This book is the ultimate reference guide to Dartmoor and Josephine will be talking about how she produced it and her other books on Dartmoor.  www.collingwoodphotography.co.uk 

15th     WCPF travelling print folio – a chance to see some of the best print work in the South West.  Deadline for PDI entries for round 3 of the monthly open competitions, see Handbook for rules pages 16-19.

22nd     Monthly Challenge   These evenings are themed and link in with the themes for the Master Photographer competition at the end of the year. This month’s  theme is  Street Photography.

3rd        SDP League Battle  PDI competition hosted by Exmouth CC.

29th      COMPETITION   Round 3 of the monthly competitions to find the photographer of the year. This round is for PDIs  and is judged by Marija Lees from Exeter CC.

6th         SPEAKERS   Nick and Heather Bodle   Nick and Heather are renowned print workers and this is a chance to see what they have been producing.

13th       Christmas Social  including our popular Triptych competition !!

January 2023

3rd         SPEAKER   Barry Beckham   Barry has created a number of very good instructional videos and he has given us permission to freely use what we like for a club evening.

7th         SPEAKER  David Clapp   David is a regular to our club, now adding banjo playing to his repertoire!  He is always travelling so his work is fresh and very interesting. See his website for a glimpse of what he has been up to www.davidclapp.co.uk.

8th         SDP League Battle  Print competition hosted by Dawlish and Teigmouth CC.

21st       SPEAKERS  Sue O’Connell & Peter Brisley – More Travels Towards the Edge.  Featuring more out-of-the-way people and places – from camel herders in the     Gobi Desert of Mongolia to the nomadic Rabari people of Gujarat, with a visit to   the world’s largest wetland, the Pantanal of Brazil. 22nd      NAPC visit Dawlish and Teignmouth Club to entertain them.

28th       COMPETITION   Round 5 of the monthly competitions to find the photographer of the year. This round is for PDIs  and is judged by Peter Hyett from Exmouth CC.

March

7th         Monthly Challenge  Something a bit different for this month, design a postcard from Teignbridge.  It can be a montage of more than one picture with writing, PDIs and Prints.

14th       Speaker Chas Halsey.  You have seen Chas’s company advertising in our Members Handbook – Images2Prints. Chas will talk about printing and papers in the first half and then comment on our printing in the second half so bring a print for him to see.  Deadline for entries for the Master Photographer Competition, see Handbook for rules pages 16-19.

21st        SPEAKERS  Club swap – Dawlish and Teignmouth Club entertain us with a variety of work.

28th        COMPETITION  Master Photographer judged by Chaz Madge from Exmouth. Members enter 1 picture for each of the 4 themes of  Architecture, People at Work, Street Photography and Forests/Trees.

April

4th          Our own Audio Visual Group will be showing their latest AVs:  this is a very much an anticipated evening.  Deadline for Images of the Year competition, see handbook for rules pages 16-19.

11th       Locations Groups  During the year members have been out and about, here is a chance to see where they went and what they got up to!

18th        COMPETITIONS   Images of the year.  A chance for members to choose the best PDI, Mono Print and Colour print from the work submitted during the year.

25th        AGM  The time when all members can have their say about how the club is to be run and by whom.

2nd         Social   Our end of year social and when we find out who is our Photographer of the Year !
