NAPC outings are arranged by Mike Cowley.

A chance to get outside and practice some photography.  Newer members can get help and advice from more experienced members.

2022-2023

The Locations Group visited Wildwood.

Tuesday 18th April the Locations Group visited Fermoys Birds of Prey Centre.

The locations group have had 2 outings already, and we are only a month into the new season – wow!  Mike Cowley organised a Walk Around Newton Abbott on a Saturday morning looking for architectural, people at work and street photography shots.  The challenge was that all had to be taken at a focal length of 50mm FF/35mm APS(C)/25mm M43, not always the easiest focal length in fairly confined areas.  The results were good!

The next outing was to Steampunk at Coldharbour Mill and this produced a great variety of shots of machinery and people dressed for the occasion.

The next visit is to Wistman’s Wood  on Sunday 16th October, so watch out for messages from Mike on Facebook with all the details.

2021-2022

Sunday 31st October

Lukesland Gardens

The great variety of trees and shrubs at Lukesland also makes it stunning in October and November. The shelterbelts of beeches, planted by the Victorians to protect the garden, turn a glorious gold, while more exotic species such as acers, azaleas, gingko and katsura reflect their fiery red sand oranges in the pools of the Addicombe Brook.
