19th Monthly Challenge These evenings are themed and link in with the themes for the Master Photographer competition at the end of the year. This month’s theme is WATER
26th COMPETITION Round 1 of the monthly competitions to find the photographer of the year. This round is for PDIs and is judged by Richard Curzon from Kingsbridge.

3rd PDI Challenge Shield This is a competition between us, Ivybridge and District, Kingsbridge and Plymouth. Each Club supplies a judge (ours is Chris Marsham). This year it is being hosted by Ivybridge and District. The venue is Bittaford Village Hall, Bittaford, Ivybridge PL21 0DX Hall. THERE WILL BE NO MEETING AT THE COURTENEY CENTRE THIS NIGHT.
10th SPEAKER Robert Harvey BA ARPS EFIAP CENV CSCI MCIWEM Have a look at Robert’s website, , you will see why he is in such demand. Title and description of lecture: By The Sea. Our coast is the spectacular wild edge of Britain. Fulfilling the tremendous photographic potential of beaches, cliffs, sea stacks, lighthouses, castles and storms requires effective use of seasonal light and tides. Photographic techniques discussed include using different shutter speeds, stitching panoramas and capturing high dynamic range. 30th Great Photographers Two or Three members will volunteer to research and give a presentation on their favourite photographers.

6th Open Evening Details to follow
13th A look at the work of Roland White. Roland was a long time member of the club who sadly died last July. He was a prolific worker with an eclectic interest in all aspects of photography. The family have given us a set of his prints to look at. Roland was also a member of the group Proteus and many of his prints will have his words on the back from previous Proteus presentations, a great insight into how and why he took his pictures. 20th SPEAKER Andrew Cooper BSc (Hons) Andrew is a renowned naturalist who has travelled the world with the BBC units. His talk is called : BBC Natural History – my wildlife (Photographic)

5th SPEAKER Jo Bradford We saw Jo in 2018 when she talked about her use of Smart phones. 19th BATTLE We host the PDI section of the South Devon Photographic League
26th COMPETITION Master Photographer judged by Ian Hosker from Sidmouth. Members enter 1 picture for each of the 4 themes of Water, Transport, Long Exposure and A Day on the Coast .

2nd SPEAKER Molly Hollman Molly has won many awards with her creative flower pictures and she will be demonstrating, by ZOOM, how she created them, just in time for Spring. Deadline for Images of the Year competition, see handbook for rules.
9th AV Group Alan’s AV group have been working hard on a new set of AVs, should be good.
16th COMPETITION Images of the year A chance for members to choose the best PDI, Mono Print and Colour print from the work submitted during the year.
